What is a regional twitter account

We've put together a twitter account for each regional. With these accounts you will receive real time match scores for the regional for each regional account you follow. Soon after First posts the scores for the match, they will be twittered to everyone following the regional account.

Match Scores

Shortly after a match completes and the official scores are posted by First, the folks at The Blue Alliance capture the scores, and shortly after that, the Regional Twitter Accounts will pick up the score and tweet it to the correct Regional Twitter Account. Everyone following that account will receive the match score. You will receive a message that looks like this:

M22 [0:64] R: 1644-812-687 B: 1070-1669-330 #frc

This message tells you the following:

TOP 24 teams

Now tweeting Regional Standings. Every 15 minutes, the top 24 teams will have their standings tweeted to anyone following the Regional Twitter Account. The message will look like this:

Awards

Want to know who won an award? As the awards are announced on the First web site, you will receive a message via twitter letting you know who won which award.

Regional Twitter Accounts

A regional account has been created for each of the FIRST FRC regionals and the Championship in Atlanta. If you want to follow the action at any of the regionals, simply follow that regional Twitter account. If you want to tweet to the Twitter account, simply reply to the Twitter account as described above and everyone following the account will see your message.
