Yes, the end is near. We are at the end of our 6 week build season. We bag the robot by 8:59PM on Tuesday. That means whatever goes in the bag is what we go to competition with. You all have done an AMAZING job getting these robots built in a short time. All while helping other teams who we hosted in the shop; Yucca Valley HS, North High School, Poly High School, and Thomas Aquinas. You all continue to be an inspiration to me and others.
Some updates on the status of our robots.
Production robot: Lift is functional and stabilized with the new cage, intakes are wired and plumbed for pneumatics, pneumatics have been tested but needs some leaks plugged, we have scored a cube in the switch. Remaining tasks, more testing, finish pneumatics, programming, need a final weighing.
Practice robot: needs some work to catch up with production robot with lift, wiring, pneumatics. Ramp v3.0 is so close to lifting 120lb robots, big shout out to Bruce and team for being agile and innovative (we are learning so much about forces!).
Post build season build schedule is still yet to be planned, but we do have a lot of work to finish on the practice robot and ramps, so we will continue with a full schedule. Do plan to take Wednesday 2/21 off. I need a break and I'm sure the rest of the team does as well. I'll have our schedule updated on the calendar very soon.
